The first advert I have looked at is this advert for Diet Pepsi. The model featured is Sofia Vergara, a model and actress from Colombia.
The advert is composed of a simple medium shot of the model, who is center frame. This makes it clear that the model is meant to be the main focus of the advert.
Due to the focus of the advert, we can assume the target audience is young men and teens, who would typically be attracted to this woman.
The background to the advert is a simple blue. This is representative of the brand, as the colours blue and red are iconic of the Pepsi brand. Blue has been used in both the background and the clothing. Whereas red is used for the lipstick and nail polish of the model.
The text for the advert is not very important to the creator. the only text present is the text on the Pepsi can, the small print in the bottom left which gives social media links and a small sans serif sentence in the top right. It reads, 'Nothing refreshes like a diet Pepsi'. The aim of the advert is not to promote a new product, but to keep Pepsi relevant. Diet Pepsi is an established brand, so it doesn’t need to explain what it is on the advert. The font being sans serif suggests that the advert is professional and sleek as well as stylish.
